I qualified from The Turner Dental School, University of Manchester in 1976 and have worked in the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery for more than 25 years, initially in Canniesburn Oral and Plastic Surgery Unit and subsequently at the Regional Maxillofacial Unit at the Southern General Hospital, Glasgow. I specialise in oral and facial surgery for adults and children and prosthetic and implant rehabilitation for those patients treated for oral cancer. Having always been interested in optimum aesthetics in my daily work I have found the burgeoning interest in facial aesthetics enjoyable. The introduction of injectable substances to improve facial appearance has been an enormous help to clients who wish to maintain or regain their youthful appearance without resorting to surgery. Facial peels can also help to improve the appearance of the skin. These procedures can be incorporated into a busy schedule with minimal down-time.
